Overview
This two-handle 32" Translucent Collapsible Circular Reflector from Impact adds a polished-looking quality of light to your photos or videos. The reflector (actually more of a diffuser) has handy convenience features that make it easy to use; delivering impressive results while saving space by folding down to approximately one third of its open size. Impact's smart design provides ergonomic handgrips that allow you to hold the disc in a flat or U-shaped position, or in any way that gets the job done. Each of the grips has additional 3/8"-16 threaded sockets for attachment to accessories or grip equipment. While not reflecting as much as the solid white surface the Translucent disc does exhibit soft neutral reflection. Its primary purpose, however is as a diffuser that's made to tame contrast by for example, being held over a subject's head in the harsh noon-day sun. The disc can also be used in situations where you'd use a softbox. Using a disc holder place your flash or constant light behind the suspended disc for soft, flattering light with open shadows.
Features
Easy-Grip Handles
Two large ergonomic handles permit you to grip the reflector without grabbing the reflective fabric. These make it easy to hold the reflector in position over your subject. Plus these handles allow you to have a better grip on the reflector when twisting it into its collapsed formation. Integrated 3/8-inch mounts can attach the reflector to a light pole.
Translucent Material
The translucent material diffuses and softens your light source. This helps to wrap the light around your subject, with even and natural blending that reduces the harshness between light and shadows.
Collapsible Design
The flexible steel frame allows you to bend the circular shape and fold it down to a third of its original size. This reflector is lightweight and portable, and it fits into the included carrying bag, which keeps it small and compact. And when you take it out to use it, the spring-loaded frame pops open in a jiffy.
